the first is kind of a bad pic, but you can see how far back I de-loomed the PTU harness and where I branched it off with new electrical tape (I prefer 3M Super 33+) marked with the red arrow. After that, all you have to do is remove the radiator clamps if I remember correctly, push the top of the radiator towards the engine and squeeze the harness connector throgh the opening and into the bumper area. It's a tight fit... or at least on my Z it was. . 
. You can mount it anywhere up front. This is where I chose to mount mine. Just make sure it's not in a place it can get wet... and that your splash shields are in place. .
